My Story
“Before the books, before the movement, there was a woman trying to become whole.”
The Journey
My journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been honest. Every season of my life has taught me something about faith, strength, and surrender. I am a woman who has known loss, silence, and struggle — but I am also a woman who chose to rise, rebuild, and rewrite her story.
The Turning Point
There came a time when I realized that waiting for someone else to change the world would never be enough. I had to start where I was — with my pen, my heart, and my truth. That’s how Daughters of the Struggle was born: out of a desire to help young girls and women see that their pain has purpose, that their voices have power, and that healing begins when we stop hiding from our own stories.
The Becoming
I’ve learned that becoming isn’t a destination — it’s a decision we make every day. To show up. To forgive. To try again. To believe that even when everything falls apart, something beautiful can still rise from the pieces.
My story continues through every woman I meet, every girl who dares to dream, and every reader who finds themselves reflected in my words. I am still becoming — and if you’re reading this, I hope you know that you are too.
With love,
Kuna Winding
